EU energy ministers have agreed February 2007 to increase the share of biofuels used in transport to 10% by 2020. The Council adopted Conclusions on an Energy Policy for Europe, as its contribution to the Spring European Council (8/9 March 2007) which is expected to adopt a prioritised Action Plan for an Energy Policy for Europe:
