EU mulls taking Guantánamo detainees

Article reports that up to 60 Guantánamo Bay detainees could be taken in by European Union countries, according to Jacques Barrot, Justice Commission and Vice-President of the European Commission, March 2009. He said that Europe’s response to any US request for it to take former detainees would be 'a test issue' ahead of a trip he was making to Washington.
