Summary:Communication adopted by the European Commission on 2 September 2022, setting out a common approach for the upcoming autumn and winter seasons when it comes to tackling the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Further information:This Communication urges the Member States of the European Union (EU) to put the necessary integrated strategies and measures in place to help avoid a surge of COVID-19 later in 2022, and to put in place the necessary structures that allow the EU to respond to future outbreaks in a sustained manner. The European Commission also calls on countries for continued coordination of preparedness efforts across the EU, ahead of the next wave and further rollout of vaccination programmes. This set of measures was adopted by the European Commission on 2 September 2022, and it builds on actions put forward earlier in the year. |
