EU set to back security doctrine

European Foreign Ministers meeting at the European Council in Thessaloniki on 20 June 2003 are expected to endorse their first-ever security doctrine. The paper, 'A secure Europe in a better world', has been drawn up by experts under Javier Solana, the European Union's High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy.
