EU states advised to put their weight behind clearing system

Alberto Giovannini, the European Commission's Chief Adviser on post trading activity has told the Financial Times that Member States must give greater political support to a more integrated system of cross-border clearing and settlement of securities if the European Union is to achieve its goal of a single financial market.
