EU structural funds 2000-2006

Book abstract:

This guide is one of the European Information Association (EIA) Quick Guides, which are A4 double-sided laminated leaflets that provide basic and quick reference information on European Union bodies, issues and topics.

This guide explains the four structural funds: European Social Fund (ESF); European Regional Development Fund (ERDF); European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund (EAGGF); and Financial Instrument for Fisheries Guidance (FIFG). The guide briefly covers: the reform of the funds in 1999 under Agenda 2000; the three priority objectives of the structural funds 2000-2006; the four community initiatives: INTERREG III, URBAN II, EQUAL, LEADER+; the budget for structural funds; the management of the structural funds; and eligibility.
