EU transport and logistics guide:

This guide is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to essential information on the institutions and groups which are most relevant to business on a day-to-day basis, including contact names in all key areas. Covering all major EU transport policies and initiatives, the guide also provides useful background information on the Common Transport Policy and details about legislation and institutions in the EU and the US.

The Common Transport Policy is explained from its beginnings to future projects, such as pan-European corridors and the car-of-tomorrow. The book continues to look at 'horizontal transport issues', including the Single Market, competition, environment, social and safety, third countries and logistics. Finally, in the background section, transport in the United States is described.

The second half of the guide is a directory of transport-related organisations and groups, covering EU Institutions, NGOs and international organisations. E-mail and web site addresses are included. Within the directory are included brief descriptions of each organisation.
