The majority of men in the EU are aware that they have a right to parental leave but are not taking it up, a new survey by Eurobarometer reveals, September 2004. Of the 2 819 current or prospective fathers polled across the EU-15, seventy five per cent, or 2 108 respondents, knew of this entitlement. However, 84 per cent of those 2 108 said they had not taken parental leave or were not intending to do so.
