Eurogroup meeting, 13 June 2019

Summary:

A meeting of the Eurogroup was held on 13 June 2019. Once again it met in its regular format as well as in its inclusive format. The agenda includes the following items:

• Discussion on the deepening of the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU);
• Agreement on a term sheet describing features of the budgetary instrument for competitiveness and convergence;
• Agreement on the revision of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM);
• Presentation on the outcome of the IMF's Article IV consultation with the Eurozone;
• Discussion on inequality in the Eurozone, followed by presentation on how to reconcile innovation and inclusive growth;
• Update on the main findings of the 6th post-programme surveillance mission to Cyprus;
• Adoption of the Eurogroup's work programme for the second half of 2019;
• Briefing on the Spring Package of the European Semester, including a discussion on the budgetary situation in Italy.
