Eurogroup meeting, 13 September 2019

Summary:

A meeting of the Eurogroup was held on 13 September 2019. Once again it met in its regular format as well as in its inclusive format. The agenda includes the following items:

• Exchange of views on the quality of public finances in the Eurozone, focusing on public investment;
• Exchange of views on options to further enhance the transparency initiative of the Eurogroup;
• Briefing on the main findings of the 11th post-programme surveillance mission to Ireland;
• Briefing on the outcome of the G7 finance ministers' meeting;
• Launch of call for candidates for an ECB executive vacancy;
• Presentation of the policy priorities of new governments in Greece and Italy;
• Discussion on all pending issues of the budgetary instrument for convergence and competitiveness (BICC).
