Eurogroup meeting, 7 November 2022

Summary:

A meeting of the Eurogroup was held on 7 November 2022. It also met in the Banking Union format. The agenda included the following items:

• Exchange of views on the latest economic developments in and the outlook for the Euro area;
• Exchange of views on the broad picture emerging from the Draft Budgetary Plans (DBPs) submitted by the Member States;
• Discussion on the challenges facing Member States with regard to measures aimed at addressing the impact of high energy prices on vulnerable households and businesses;
• Update on the several international meetings;
• Presentation by the relevant minister on the policy priorities of Italy's new government;
• Launch of the election process for the Eurogroup President
• Exchange of views with the Chair of the ECB Supervisory Board and the Chair of the Single Resolution Board.
