Europe seeks to allay Japan accounts fears

Report from the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales) conference on global capital markets in Brussels, 4 April 2005. John Tiner, Chairman of the Committee of European Securities Regulators advisory group, an influential body advising the European Commission on financial reporting, on 4 April 2005 said that Japanese accounting standards would be evaluated in a pragmatic and open-minded way.
