European carmakers stall in bid to cut emissions

Europe’s carmakers stalled in 2006 in their progress to reduce carbon dioxide emissions despite their professed commitment to going green, according to figures published on 4 September 2007 by the European Federation for Transport and Environment, a Brussels-based campaign group.
