European competitiveness report 2010

European competitiveness is at the centre of this annual publication of the European Commission. The 2010 edition of the European Competitiveness Report includes a review of the EU's overall competitiveness performance, looking at the possible implications of the economic downturn for productivity, followed by four in-depth analyses on a number of key developments that may have a significant impact on competitiveness: the changing pattern of trade in intermediate products and EU manufacturing supply chains; foreign corporate R & D and innovation activities in the EU; European competitiveness in key enabling technologies; and innovation and competitiveness of the creative industries in the EU.
