The first European Cultural Heritage Summit was held in Berlin on 18-24 June 2018. It was seen as one of the main events of the European Year of Cultural Heritage and was attended by high-level representatives of EU Institutions, civil society organisations and Member States.

The European Cultural Heritage Summit was co-hosted by Europa Nostra, the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz (Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, SPK) and the German Cultural Heritage Committee (DNK), acting as national coordinator of the EYCH in Germany.
