European early warning systems would help against natural disasters

The Executive Director of the European Environment Agency, Jacqueline McGlade, on 20 March 2006, gave a speech at a public hearing in the European Parliament in Brussels. The hearing, 'Natural Disasters - How should Europe Respond', focused on how the EU could best prepare for natural disasters and help minimise their effects.
