European Information Technology Observatory 98:
Since its launch in 1993 the 'European Information Technology Observatory' (EITO) has become the established yearbook for the information and communications technology industries (ICT), containing market analysis and statistics. The objective of the yearbook is to provide an extensive overview of the European market for ICT, which will be of value to the industries, to consumers and users and to public authorities.

The EITO 98 presents up-to-date data about the ICT market in Europe. It also includes special ICT studies in technological trends, standardisation, convergence of voice and data communications, the Internet, teleworking, the impact of the EURO, and specific markets such as the home market. There is also a substantial statistical section.
