The European Sugar Manufacturers' Committee (CEFS) represents all beet-sugar manufacturers in the European Union, plus Switzerland (Luxembourg does not manufacture any sugar); and refiners processing raw cane-sugar imported from overseas into white sugar (France, Portugal, United Kingdom). CEFS aims to represent and defend the interests of all its members among the European institutions (Council of Ministers, European Commission, European Parliament, Economic and Social Committee, etc.) and among the different international organisations (FAO, UNEP, WTO, etc.). |
