Europe’s faster route to too much regulation

In a commentary feature, the author suggests that the changes being proposed to reform the system of qualified majority voting (QMV) in the Council will lead to more regulation in the labour market (and other sectors as well). He concludes by arguing that an indiscriminate lowering of the decision-making quorum in the Council of Ministers is bound to be counterproductive.
