Eurozone unemployment declined for a fourth straight month in February 2010, coming in below the symbolic 10% mark for the first time since late 2009.

But a breakdown of the figures shows a widening of the chasm that separates the so-called 'core' countries, led by Germany, from the struggling 'peripheral' ones with far weaker economies.
