ExoMars sets sights on the red planet

The European Space Agency announced in June 2016 that ExoMars, a joint mission with Russia's Roscosmos, had captured its first images of Mars as part of its preparations for arriving at the Red Planet in October.

The mission was launched on 14 March. The agency further announced that the second part of this mission had received €77 million cash injection.
