Fed decision unlikely to influence ECB’s stance

The European Central Bank is unlikely to be in any hurry to respond to the Federal Reserve's half-point cut in key interest rates. Indeed, just hours before the Fed's announcement, the ECB was again defending the decision last week not to reduce rates.
