Financial service firms face big bill for EU safeguards

The UK Treasury and Financial Service Authority jointly published on 18 June 2004 a consultation paper on proposals for implementation of the EU Market Abuse Directive in 2005. The Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers has raised concerns about the cost of implementing the Directive.
