Financial Services: European aspects

This Paper brings together recent European Union legislative and regulatory developments in the sphere of financial or corporate regulation. It provides relevant UK context and activity. It also includes a checklist of EU regulations currently being implemented across the EU with links to further information or explanation.

This Paper provides two things. First, references to recent new announcements from the EU regarding initiatives or developments in the area of financial or corporate legislative reforms. Second, it includes a list of past measures which are being implemented, or have recently been implemented, in the UK, by the UK’s regulatory bodies.

It is intended that the Paper will be updated regularly and build into a more comprehensive resource.

The Paper cannot list every output or statement by the EU on this massive area of work, nor does it comment in great detail on the measures highlighted. Instead it aims to provide easy to use links to rapidly get more information on individual measures.
