Fisheries agreement

Fisheries ministers from EU member states reached political agreement on three proposals from the Commission: on conservation measures for Mediterranean fisheries, on the use of new technology to stop illegal fishing and on restricting the fishing of deep sea species.

OLAF, the European Union’s anti-fraud office, has concluded that six officials of the Committee of the Regions (CoR) may have breached criminal law in claiming allowances.
