Foreign Affairs Council, 22 July 2014

A meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council was held on 22 July 2014. The agenda included the following topics:

+ Discussion on the situation in Ukraine, following the downing of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17, and on further sanctions to be applied against Russia;

+ Discussion on the situation in the Gaza strip and in Iraq;

+ Adoption, without discussion, of conclusions on the following items: EUCAP Nestor extension; Great Lakes region; sanctions against Syrian regime; EUCAP Sahel Niger extension; Middle East Peace Process; mission to support Ukraine's civilian security sector reform.
