France poaches top climate change eurocrat

Article reports that Mogens Peter Carl, who as head of the European Commission’s environment directorate has spearheaded EU efforts to combat global warming and reduce fossil fuel use, has agreed to join the staff of Jean-Louis Borloo, French Environment Minister, as a special representative, as France prepares to take over the EU Presidency for the period July-December 2008.
