Marine Le Pen, the leader of France’s far-right National Front (FN) party, would go on trial in October 2015 for comparing Muslim prayers in the street to the Nazi occupation in comments made in 2010, the Lyon prosecutor’s office said on the 22 September 2015. She would be charged with 'inciting discrimination over people’s religious beliefs'.

Marine Le Pen described the trial as a 'scandal'.
