EurActiv France reports that French MEP Sophie Briard-Auconie has called April 2010 for a relaxation of control measures used to distribute EU regional funds in her country. She said that constraints placed on member states were excessive, particularly in countries where a 'control culture' already exists. She singled out France, Germany, Ireland and the UK as examples of the latter. |
