Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 ... of 30 November 2009 on cosmetic products came into force on the 11 July 2013.

Cosmetics on shop shelves, both manufactured in the EU and imported from third countries, should be fully compliant with the Regulation ensuring strengthened safety standards and providing better information for the consumers.
