	Summary: Set of conclusions adopted by the Council of the European Union on 26 November 2021 concerning the future governance of the European Research Area (ERA). Further information: The conclusions include the first ERA Policy Agenda, setting out 20 voluntary actions for the period 2022-2024. Among these actions are promoting attractive and sustainable research careers, bringing science closer to citizens and improving EU-wide access to excellence. The Agenda is to be implemented together with the European Commission and in cooperation with countries associated to the Horizon Europe programme.
