Future of Europe (First Results)

Summary:

Special Eurobarometer commissioned jointly by the European Commission and the European Parliament. The survey focuses on public opinion concerning the Future of Europe (F0E), the ninth of its series.

Further information:

The survey was conducted in late 2020 and released amidst the preparations for a Conference on the Future of Europe. The report is structured around the following topics:

• Attitudes towards the EU including public image and reflecting on its future; opinions on how EU citizens can best make their voices heard, and the extent  to which people feel their voices should be taken into consideration by the European Union;
• Opinions on the Conference on the future of Europe, including willingness to participate and methods of participation;
• Attitudes towards the future of Europe, including assets, global challenges and future progress;
• Attitudes towards the EU’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, including priorities and financial support.
