G7 promises to boost world economy growth

At a meeting on 6 October 2001 in Washington, finance ministers and central bankers of the Group of Seven leading economies have promised to strengthen growth in the world economy as a response to the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001, and agreed on a plan to block the financing of terrorist groups.
