Austrian Green MEP Ulrike Lunacek, along with a journalist who was interviewing her, were doused on the 14 June 2014 with what was said to be butyric acid, a toxic but non-lethal substance. The openly gay MEP said the attack had doubled her efforts against homophobia and discrimination. |
