GdF should sell SPE stake, says Belgian regulator

The Belgian energy regulator warned on 10 March 2006 that utility companies Gaz de France and Suez would need to sell assets to guarantee competition in Belgium as part of their planned merger. The regulator's official report is due to be published shortly, and the concerns contained therein are reinforced by the publication on 10 March 2006 of a study from the International Energy Agency on the state of the Belgian energy sector.
