A meeting of the General Affairs Council was held on 10 December 2019. The agenda includes the following items:

  • Debate on the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) for 2021-2027, in particular the proposed negotiating box with figures presented by the Council Presidency;
  • Hearing on Hungary in the framework of the Article 7(1) TEU procedure on rule of law;
  • Briefing on the situation as regards the rule of law in Poland;
  • Discussion on the draft conclusions of the forthcoming European Council summit;
  • Exchange of views on priorities for upcoming legislative work under the new European Commission;
  • Adoption of conclusions on EU cooperation in the field of countering hybrid threats and enhancing resilience;
  • Adoption of conclusions on the European Commission's Opinion on Bosnia and Herzegovina's application for EU membership;
  • Adoption of conclusions on the implementation by the EU of the United Nations' 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development.
