General Affairs Council, 24 June 2014

A meeting of the General Affairs Council was held on 24 June 2011. The agenda icluded the following items:

+ Decision to grant candidate status to Albania, subject to endorsement of the European Council;

+ Adoption of a decision on the rules and procedures for the implementation of the solidarity clause;

+ Endorsement of the EU maritime security strategy;

+ Preparations for the European Council summit taking place on 26-27 June, including an exchange of views with its president Herman Van Rompuy.
