Georgia set to offer Putin an olive branch

President Mikheil Saakashvili of Georgia pledged 16 November 2006 to offer Vladimir Putin, his Russian counterpart, a conciliatory message at a meeting planned for later in November 2006, in an effort to ease the bitter political conflict between their countries.
