German Greens approve ‘Jamaica’ coalition in Schleswig-Holstein

Members of the Green party in Germany's Schleswig-Holstein region voted in June 2017 in favour of joining a so-called Jamaica coalition with the Christian Democrats and the liberal Free Democrats. The state had held an election on 7 May.

The decision was seen as clearing the way for a potential reproduction of such formula in the aftermath of the federal election being held in the country later in the year.
