Germany’s recovery continues apace

The German economy is growing at its fastest rate since 2000. The German government was expected on the 20 October 2006 to add just less than a percentage point to its gross domestic product growth estimate for 2006, underlining the robustness of the recovery under way in Europe's largest economy.
