On the 20 September 2018 the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Mr. Simon Coveney T.D., the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Ms. Heather Humphreys T.D., and the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Mr. Michael Creed T.D. provided an update on the latest Brexit preparedness and support measures being taken by the Government of Ireland and announced details of the Getting Ireland Brexit Ready public information campaign, including workshop events to be held over successive weeks throughout October 2018 in Cork, Galway, Monaghan and Dublin.

A huge amount of work was already well underway across Government and its agencies. The communication of this work would now be stepped up, including through a revamped Government wide Brexit website hosted by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and dedicated social media channels.

The Government’s public information efforts would also include a series of whole-of-Government Getting Ireland Brexit Ready public outreach events across the country.
