Glastir: ‘Millions of pounds could be returned to Europe’

Article suggests that the the unpopularity of the Welsh Government’s much heralded agri-environmental scheme Glastir with some farmers could lead to millions of pounds having to be returned to the European Commission.

However, Deputy Minister for Agriculture Alun Davies responded: 'It is simply not true to suggest that we are poised to return Rural Development Programme (RDP) money to Brussels or anywhere else. The Welsh Government has been continually monitoring Glastir uptake and spending, precisely with the aim of maximising use of all available EU funding through the RDP'.
