Carl-Peter Forster, the head of General Motors’ Europe operations, is stepping down just days after the US carmaker decided to hold on to its Opel/Vauxhall operations, November 2009.

Further reports suggest that Mr Forster is in talks with Tata Motors over a senior position at the Indian carmaker’s luxury car group Jaguar Land Rover.
