Google has called off plans to open a campus in the Kreuzberg area of Berlin. After months of anti-gentrification protests, the tech giant announced Wednesday(24th Octber) it has given the site to two social organizations.

The US tech giant planned to set up an incubator for start-ups in Berlin Kreuzberg, a district where the house price drastically rose in the past two years. Protests have been against the plan for the fear of rising rent.
