Governments put offer to EADS over A400M

Article reports that European governments have demanded a share in any future export profits from the troubled A400M military transport programme in return for providing a €3.5bn rescue package.

The seven customers - France, Germany, Britain, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg and Turkey - who have pledged to buy 180 of the turboprop aircraft yesterday delivered their 'final and best' offer to EADS, parent of the A400m's maker, Airbus on the 16 February 2010.
