Greece under scrutiny as ‘troika’ arrives

Report of the Troika (EC / ECB / IMF) visit of international creditors to Greece, July 2012 to oversee progress of the implementation of the austerity programme as a condition of the bailout package.

Amidst calls by some German politicians for Greece to consider exiting the eurozone, various news sources also reported on a visit by European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso to Greece to discuss the crisis on the 26 July 2012.
