Created in Brussels in 1979, the Group for Research and Information on Peace and Security (GRIP) developed in the context of the Cold War with research focussing on the game of forces resulting from the East-West confrontation. Since the fall of the Berlin wall, GRIP has tackled issues of international security from a European point of view, particularly the triptych European Union - WEU- NATO and secondly the production and sales of military material. |
