Guide to the enlargement of the EU:
The EU Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Belgium has published a new title to add to its existing stable of concise and eminently practical guides to the European Parliament, the environment, the Information Society and 'Business guide to EU Initiatives'. The guides are obviously intended primarily for the business community but their value is such that a much wider circulation is warranted.

The latest title to be published is 'Guide to the enlargement of the EU', and is intended to be a point of first reference for people wishing to obtain essential information on the EU enlargement process and its main participants. Information is provided on the issues at stake, the negotiation process, and an outlook on future developments both in the applicant countries and within the EU. It presents country profiles for each of the applicant countries with details of economic indicators and main trading partners. In addition, the 'Guide' also provides up-to-date contact details for the key players in the applicant countries, the diplomatic missions, the European Institutions and other organisations involved in the enlargement process.
