Having been introduced in the system of governance by the recent reform of the
telecommunications regulator, the BEREC is presented as a supranational organism of consultative character. A mission and a fundamental role are applied to it in the consistent application of standards in the single market telecommunications. The success of this mission will depend on the tools and also, on the anticipated mechanisms of coordination and ability to cope with other actors, mainly the National Regulatory Authorities and European Commission.
