Harmonisation of fund clearing makes slow progress in Europe

Fund clearing across borders in Europe remains a far more complex process than in the US, but there is evidence of progress towards more simplification and harmonisation. A fully streamlined process in Europe is still years away, but many groups are aggressively lobbying for change.
